Artist's Description
This yellow-eyed, black-beaked white bird is easily recognizable. It is 52–71 cm (20–28 in) long, with a 125–150 cm (49–59 in) wingspan. Also, these birds can weigh anywhere from 1.6 to 3 kg (3.5 to 6.6 lb).[3] It is one of the largest species of owl and, in North America, is on average the heaviest owl species. The adult male is virtually pure white, but females and young birds have some dark scalloping; the young are heavily barred, and dark spotting may even predominate. About Darren Robinson
I have been drawing and painting for almost 50 years now starting with that first box of Crayola 64 crayons I received when I was five years old. You can see the heavy airbrush influence and use throughout many of my recent realistic paintings. Recently I have experimented with Mixed Media and abstract art as a way...

As I have said before, your work is awesome! I've never seen one of these owls up close and didn't realize that the markings looked like flying birds. I though you had done that when you painted this! lol Keep up the great work Darren. You have a special talent! f/l
